Now, you can have the clean, crisp JP single-stage trigger feel that has become the standard of the industry in a drop-in module. We feel that the original JP Fire Control parts, fitted to the individual receiver still give the ultimate in trigger feel, and this unit is not intended to replace our original JP fire control parts, as many would still prefer to do their own installation and setup. However, for those who don't have the time or inclination to set up their own trigger, or would prefer not to ship us their lower assembly for professional installation, the new JP Modular Fire Control Unit is the logical choice.
Unlike other self-contained triggers, the JP Modular Fire Control Unit is not just a group of nonadjustable parts in a housing, offering a moderate improvement. Rather, like everything else we make, it is a professional grade component that will satisfy the most demanding user.
The JP Modular Fire Control Unit is a single stage, pre-adjusted, self-contained unit that will drop into any small pin M15 Mil-spec lower receiver.
The housing of our unit is not some cheap stamping or aluminum component, but is fully machined from 300 series stainless and individually serial numbered. The trigger component is EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat treated to Rockwell C58-60 hardness for long-term durability. The low mass hammer reduces lock time by 50% over standard parts and is EDM cut from S-7 tool steel with a specially prepped notch for the smoothest release. The disconnector is also a fully-machined part, not a stamping, that features full-width engagement on the hammer for lifetime durability. The module is fully secured into the lower with locking set screws so it will not "float" when you press the trigger like a non-secured module. Nothing is more annoying than a trigger that has free play in it.
Also included is our adjustable/reversible selector, which is the easy solution to the safety fit problem. No self-contained trigger module is safe without addressing the safety selector fitment issue. Only JP has solved this problem with an innovative, elegant solution. 
Our safety selector is adjustable to allow for a zero-tolerance safety fit to the trigger, and the lever can be mounted on either side for right- or left-hand operators. You may also purchase an additional lever for an ambidextrous setup. If you purchase some other drop-in trigger, you need to buy the JP adjustable/reversible selector anyway. Why not just purchase the complete JP setup in the first place? There is no comparison.
The JP Modular Fire Control Unit is also the only trigger of its type that is user adjustable for weight of release from approximately 3.5 to 4.5 pounds. A shooter may even choose to have a couple of these modules with different pull weight settings for competition or field/tactical duty use or for use as a backup in case of any failure at a match.
The JP Modular Fire Control Unit is currently available in .154 small pin version only to fit any lower except horsy logo large pin receivers. The JPFC-M is designed to fit standard forged Mil-spec receivers and will not fit universally in all receivers. It may not fit in cast, plastic or other machined form billet-type receivers. It is also not suitable for use in AR-10 .308 type rifles.
