We hope you’re making to most of the fall weather and the bright colors while they last. That’s definitely the case for our shooting team, who finished out September with a bang!
The Arizona State PCC Championship is one of best matches of its type in the country. We’ve been sponsoring it for the last few years and love what we’ve seen. It’s also right in the backyard for some of our top shooters.
The inimitable Kelly Neal took first overall at the match as well as top LEO. Danyella D’Angelo also gave her GMR-15™ a workout taking High Lady and Top Junior. And, our great friend Don Bednorz claimed High Super Senior—great showing for JP Southwest.
Last weekend was also the World Series for Steel Challenge, the 2020 World Speed Shooting Championship. This was the big event for one of our newest shooters, Chris Barrett. With the dust settled, we couldn’t be happier with his performance.
Chris finished first overall at the match, winning and setting world records in three divisions: Rimfire Rifle Open, PCC Irons and PCC Open. He also set the fastest world record PCC time, breaking the 60-second overall time with his ultralight GMR-15™. In short, he crushed. This was a big event, and we were proud to be a part of it. Beyond Chris’s amazing performance, we also want to give a shout-out to the other great JP shooters, many part of the awesome Steel Target Paint Team. Awesome performances by: Steve Foster, Emily & Bridget Cunningham, Jesse Misco and Trent Mitsuoka.
Getting into our BULLETin business for the month, we’re letting the ladies of JP take the Pro Post section this month. We brought our Minnesota dynamo Dakota Overland in last month to talk about her great season and the long road of her shooting career. Then, we have something seasonal from Lanny Barnes making the case for AR hunting.
